The current policy direction of the Philippine government in mining has been divided clearly into two aspects. RESPONSIBLE MINING points to the conscientious exploitation and use of mineral resources with an intention to embrace legal, right, ethical, moral, economically, and socially acceptable practices. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT is ensuring the productivity of the mineral hub is not sacrificed where the interest and safety of nature and its people-dependents are more important than gains.
DIWALWAL SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE (DSEZ) AND JEWELRY PARK PROJECT
It is a 300-hectare mixed-use development project, which will be established in Tagbanao Area, Sitio Depot, Barangay Upper Ulip, Monkayo, Compostela Valley Province. It is the first of its kind among the new types of ecozones that will be promoted by PMDC in partnership with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).
